Chatham-Kent will soon be moving ahead with brand new rules to aid regulate the pay day loan industry in the municipality.
Chatham Coun. Brock McGregor joined an effective motion monday that included such measures as capping the amount of loan providers at six, applying certification fees and compelling the companies to offer extra information to clients.

“We’re seeking a moderate approach,” he said.
